WAMA String Ensemble Relaunch: October 16th
Saturday October 16th :
The Arts Complex (WAMA) 3.30pm – 4.45
After a long period in which we have been confined to playing solo, we are excited to relaunch the WAMA String Ensemble. Much of the enjoyment of playing a musical instrument comes with playing with other musicians and playing for an audience. The ensemble will offer an opportunity to play with and for each other. In time I hope we can re-engage with our local community with performances in local venues such as nursing homes and in house events at WAMA.
The WAMA String Ensemble will meet on the third Saturday of each month under the direction of Cathy Desmond.
The WAMA String Ensemble is open to all string students at WAMA from beginner level to more established players and is offered at no extra charge to the term tuition fee. It will enhance the one-to-one lessons and further develop musicianship skills.
Music will be arranged to suit a range of skill levels from easy open string parts for beginners to more advanced parts for established players.
